The feet are a masterpiece of the anatomy. One quarter of our bodies bones are in the feet. Each foot, composed of some of the smallest bones in the body and 20 muscles, work together to support the entire weight of the body and to move it through space. In this class we will:

Everyone is different. Every body is unique. Not all yoga poses can be practiced by all yoga students. However, Leeann Carey shows you how to modify and adjust dynamic yoga poses using props of all kinds, while tapping into therapeutic applications for every body. If you are a yoga student, you will learn the best modifications for those tricky poses you've been dealing with. If you are a yoga student and teacher, you will also discover how to use what you know and improve your eye for developing creative modifications that help your students discover more of their practice on the mat. Returning to our most basic developmental pattern: Expansion, Contraction and Rest, can unleash physical and mental restrictions that we may face on our mat. Let Leeann Carey take your through a series of creative movements and asanas in a 'Slow Flow' style. Be prepared for unique class sequencing that fosters a meditative mind/body approach to your practice, while using Expansion, Contraction and Rest as a backdrop for breathing, moving and being on your mat and in the heart of your practice. On a scale of 1 - 10, and 10 being your most relaxed, where does your Savasana (Corpse Pose) rank? Knowing how to strategically position relaxing therapeutic poses can make or break your level of peace in a pose. Leeann Carey shares her trick's of the trade that only decades of experience can offer. We will use simple holding patterns as a guideline to find just the right placement of props and positioning of your body, to identify the 'sweet spot' and encourage a deep relaxation. If you are a yoga student, you will learn how to adjust the restorative relaxing poses yourself - becoming your own best teacher.
